Is it a white party? Is it a light party? Shouldn't I wear black if it's called Noir? The answer is yes, to all three questions. Noir is a state of mind, whether you're a hardboiled detective, a femme fatale, the antihero with a heart of gold, a dame to kill for, a drifter on a mission, the lady in the technicolor dress, or the ace in the hole. All that matters is that you show up with the rest of us, in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dress in white, and we will shine you up to exalted levels of glamour. Or dress in black, all the better to lurk in our shadowy underworld.
