From Saturday, April 29, through Sunday, April 30, 2017, the inaugural EDC Japan is taking over the ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Beach Park in Tokyo for two days of thrill-inducing rides, funky fresh performers, larger-than-life production, and super-bloomin’ beats to create a one-of-a-kind, multi-sensory festival experience.
The debut of EDC Japan will also introduce fans to the iconic Kinetic Cathedral stage, a majestic structure that premiered at EDC Las Vegas 2014 and has toured across New York, Orlando, UK, Brazil, Mexico and India. A reimagined version of the stage will captivate crowds as it comes alive with hundreds of lights, colorful flames, and two grand owls flanking the beautiful stained glass design.
Insomniac already welcomes a massive, global family of worldwide Headliners, and Japan marks EDC’s fifth international destination. Our established events—EDC Mexico, EDC Brasil and EDC UK, along with last year’s hugely successful debut of EDC India—reflect the diversity of our cross-continental fans and solidify EDC as the truly global phenomenon it has become in its 20-year history. Now, with the addition of EDC Japan, we’re expanding the universal reach of EDC and welcoming a whole new group of Headliners to create lifelong memories with us Under the Electric Sky. Orange peel is booked to stilt walk as a marching band clown.
This nature-filled extravaganza celebrates the wonder of flowers and the pollinators who make their growth possible. This event is part of our national Pollinator Awareness through Conservation and Education (PACE) initiative focused on increasing awareness of invertebrate pollination, encouraging the conservation and restoration of habitats.
Through this exciting event, learn how to turn your backyard into a haven for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds with hands-on gardening activities led by experts, and take home your very own seeds and plants from our Plant Sale, equipped with planting instructions and garden design guides. All special activities are included in general admission! Keep your eyes peeled for the Praying Mantis on stilts;)
